Based in Victoria, Australia, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need — giving every dog, cat, rabbit, and pocket pet a second chance at happiness.
Our volunteers are the lifeblood of everything we do. Together, we provide love, care, and support not only to the animals but also to their incredible foster carers and our behind the scenes volunteers. Every act of kindness brings us closer to our vision: a world where every animal has a safe, loving forever home.

Animal & Supply Transport Volunteer
Play a vital role in our rescue efforts by helping animals get where they need to go!
As a Transport Volunteer, you’ll assist with safely moving animals to and from foster homes, vet appointments, and other care locations.
You may also help pick up and deliver essential supplies — such as food, bedding, and medical items — to various locations across Victoria.
Every trip you make helps us save lives and support our foster network across the state.
Foster Carer Support & Administration Volunteer
Help ensure our foster carers — and the animals in their care — receive the support they need to thrive.
As a Foster Carer Support Volunteer, you’ll conduct weekly online wellbeing check-ins with our cat and dog foster carers, offering guidance, encouragement, and assistance where needed.
This role is completely remote, allowing you to make a meaningful impact from the comfort of your own home
Fundraising Volunteer
Help us raise vital funds to continue rescuing and caring for animals in need!
As a Fundraising Volunteer, you can get involved by supporting our existing fundraising events or even organising your own community fundraiser to spread awareness and support Zentopia Pet Rescue’s mission.
Every dollar you help raise makes a real difference in the lives of animals waiting for their second chance.

We’re always looking for passionate people with a wide range of talents. Whether you’re a crafter, designer, or builder who can create or repair items for our animals and events, or a lawyer, accountant, or admin whiz who can assist behind the scenes — your contribution helps keep our rescue running smoothly.
If you’re an animal trainer, groomer, or whisperer, your expertise can help our rescue pets feel confident, calm, and ready for their forever homes. And if you’re a vet, nurse, or animal care specialist, your knowledge can directly improve the health and wellbeing of the animals in our care.
Meet & Greet Event Volunteer
Be a friendly face of Zentopia Pet Rescue at our adoption Meet & Greet days! In this hands-on role, you’ll help guide or answer any questions. helping with event setup and pack-down.
Care for and supervise our animals during events — keeping them calm, comfortable, and safe while they meet potential adopters.
Assist with planning, promoting, and running these special days.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community, share our mission, and help our animals find their forever homes.
Advocacy & Awareness Volunteer
Be a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves. As an Advocacy Volunteer, you’ll help spread the message that adoption saves lives — encouraging friends, family, and your wider community to open their hearts to rescue animals.
By sharing the stories of our animals and the joy that comes from adopting, you’ll inspire others to choose compassion — adopting through Zentopia Pet Rescue, their local shelter, or a pound rather than buying from online sellers or backyard breeders.
